University of San Diego: Adjunct Assistant Professor

  • 2012-Present: Develop and teach costume and make-up design curriculum in Theatre Arts. Also teach Theatre History, Fundamentals of Design, and Introduction to Theatre, as needed. Design and supervise construction, maintenance, and strike of costumes for four undergraduate and three MFA productions per year.

  • 2009-Present: Proprietor of a wearable art business featuring select high-end costume pieces and garments based on historical influences with a dramatic twist. Responsible for Marketing, Bookkeeping, and Management. Commissioned pieces for clients, art installation pieces, and ready-to-wear garments available online.

 

La Jolla Playhouse: First Hand/Craftsperson
La Jolla, California

  • 2009-2012: Draping, Cutting, Stitching, and Craftwork on garments as assigned on variety of different La Jolla Playhouse and UCSD shows. Alterations, dyeing, and miscellaneous crafting tasks.

 

University of San Diego: Instructor

  • 1995-1999: Stitching assigned garments on a 12+ show season; later becoming Assistant Cutter for Head Cutter/Lead Tailor; craft assignments; design and execution of MFA shows as assigned.

  • Fall 1997: Worked as overhire stitcher on production of Harmony by Barry Manilow.

  • Winter 1994-95: Working with designers to interpret renderings and build costumes for six shows.
