About Corey Johnston
Corey Johnston lives in San Diego, California. He is a clothing artist, costume designer, and teacher.
Corey currently works at the University of San Diego where he has been designing shows since 1996 with both the undergraduate and graduate programs. As the faculty costume designer he coordinates the design and construction of 5 shows each year. He has taught Theatre History, Creative Dramatics, Makeup, Mask Acting, Fundamentals of Theatrical Design, Costume Design, and Costume Construction.
He also manages a custom wearable art business, Relished Artistry, where he makes handmade custom attire and costumes.
He has an MFA in Theatre (with an emphasis in Costume Design) from Minnesota State University, and a BFA in Technical Theatre from University of Central Missouri. He has worked in regional theatre off and on for 20 years, including the Old Globe Theatre and the La Jolla Playhouse.
